I thought about trying this sock for my Emily but you said they were a tight fit... I only have size 5 feet do you think the pattern would fit them???

Kate - I have a size 6.5 broad foot. Usually, I knit Emily on 2.75mm pins and cast on around 54 stitches depending on the pattern. I knitted this pattern on 2.75mm (not the recommended 2.5mm) and knitted the smaller size which is a cast on of 64 stitches (so an extra 9 stitches plus a larger pin size). They fit perfect and are not too tight to get on. I suppose it depends on how broad your feet are, and what size you usually knit Emily on and how many stitches. Unless you've got broad feet, I would think that the way I've done it might be too loose for you. I'm not sure if I've been much help here Confused but in mitigation am still on my first coffee Smile

Btw, I would also recommend doing the Old Norwegian cast on for these so that the top is really flexible (you need it with this pattern).

Thanks for that PL. I've not used Emily before so it might be a bit of trial and error.
