It's beautiful! Well done!

I often look at the orchids at the nursery wondering if I dare buy one but with my track record with any kind of indoor plant - even cacti - it would be dead within a week.

They are pretty tough really - I've got a few and I do neglect them quite badly Rolling Eyes

Maybe I'll have a go then. I'd better buy it for myself as I would feel terrible if I asked for one for a present and it promptly keeled over.

Water them very well and prune out the other pumpkins on the stalk so that just one grows big. I saw that on "The Great British Village Show" last night. Alan Titchmarch is good for something:)

Wow that's beautiful, well done, I just love orchids too and have a few of them. I just ignore them mostly and water infrequently they all seem to survive.
