has finally got to me Sad

I was at Dobbies today and I decided that I was going to give up on the veggie patch and either cover them with some decking, stone or a mixture of both Very Happy

And then grow things in tubs and troughs Very Happy

All that seems to be growing in the garden are weeds, the sweetcorn and runner beans are the same height they were when I planted them over a month ago Evil or Very Mad

I will keep the polytunnel for growing tomatoes and cucumbers (though they are not fairing much better) Very Happy

And funnily enough the fruit trees seem to be thriving, should get a good crop of various apple varieties Very Happy

but it is doing my potatos the world of good, everything else has gone to pot but the spuds are goingn great guns. don't give up next year will be fine

Was weeding yesterday and some of my sweetcorn were no more but two or three have actually thrived dispite being overgrown by rogue potatos (must have missed one or three last year) I have blackberries and my apples seem to be doing ok, not checked the blackcurrents or goosegogs yet but they are usually in abundance no matter what happens Laughing

Have bought a gazebo, spring action easy to put up according to the man in B&Q, so I plan on putting it up and working underneath it, much as I like the dry weather the sun doesn't like me (I'm allergic to it apparently) and I want to get the weeds down before my mum comes for a visit Shocked
