Melody Yarns here... or maybe Debs, 'cos that's my real name!

I've been knitting for ever, or so it seems. I knitted my first sweater when I was fifteen years old after finishing my 'o' levels and needing something to do. I haven't looked back since and my stash has grown and grown. I knitted babies', children's and ladies' garments to sell at craft fairs at one stage in my knitting life, and still have remnants of yarns that I used in my stash! No wonder then that my yarn stash is so big!

I have also dabbled in dressmaking, and at one time sewed most of my own clothes, including soft suits for work. I packed my sewing machine away when my first son was born, but have recently taken it out again and dusted it down.

I have recently returned to machine knitting, again having packed my knitting machines away when I was expecting my first son. I have also dabbled in cross stitch, but have never tried patchwork or quilting - yet!

So that's me!
