My best missing the hour going forward was

Before DH and I were married and well shall we say being naughty ( I don't think anyone knew we were "an item") we had managed an overnight together, stayed in a rather nice hotel, got up the next morning went down to breakfast only to find that we had missed it!

Oh dear it is still one of those private joke moments!
