has anyone seen this  looks really good fun and makes a stiff 3d peice....ill see if i can find the link in a bit bascially take your old bottles and cut the bottom off and you trim around the bottle in very fine strips giving you a stiff yarn to use

also plastic fusing im going to give that a go next year,im currently collecting green bags for plarning into a outdoor chrsitmas wreath not sure ill have enough bags for this year unfortunatly

No I haven't seen that it sounds very scratchy. What would you use it for? It is amazing how many ides there are for recycling into yarns, very clever

I didn't think it would be wearable  Very Happy  Very Happy  Very Happy  I meant scratchy to knit with, can picture lots of scratches on fingers. I can't think of a use for it really, maybe a base for a bag or tray

Good grief - it must take infinite patience to cut the bottle that thin and nearly as much to crochet with it - I've tried with carrier bags and that was ok but time consuming and made my hands ache, so I think I'll be giving this one a miss - looks effective though.
