Has anyone made a BSJ in sock yarn? If so, could you tell me how big it came out (approx) and roughly how much yarn it took.
(I have about 50g of the one I have in mind but I doubt that is enough, and if I need to combine it with something else would like to do so from the start).
I have tried looking on Ravelry, but can't find the answers, any made with sock yarn that I saw just had 1 ball in the 'how much' section but didn't say whether all of it was used or not - I did go rather cross eyed looking through the projects, there are 8735 of them (and no I didn't look at all of them, I couldn't!)

It migt be worth looking in the Yarn Yard group on Rav, I'm pretty sure there was at least one made as a sample for Woolfest. _________________

Thank you everyone, most helpful - and I disappeared into Ravelry for quite a while, pen and note book in hand.
I love your Happy BSJ Franney, especially modelled (*goes all gooey*), and the BSJ group has everything you would ever need to know about it (and more) so thanks for the suggestion Aknita (I never even thought there might be a group, but I guess it's obvious when you think about it.) There was one in the Yarnyard group Dreamcatcher (lost another chunk of time on that forum too )
I was thinking about 4ply Blossom, but have made a note for future - I have made a BSJ in DK, but used odds and ends and never thought to weigh it before I gave it away . _________________ Ravelry id : Modelwidow |

Franney, can I just ask a stoopid question?
It's a long time since I made a BSJ and reading through the pattern again I wasn't sure which straight rows you left out to make it cardi length. ( I can only see 'work 3 rows even' after the 22 decreases, or the '10 ridges' just on the centre 90 sts)
Sorry to be dense _________________ Ravelry id : Modelwidow |

MW - i can't find my pattern to tell you exactly but if i remember rightly it's the "10 ridges on the centre 90 stitches" bit
Sorry i'm not very helpful _________________

That's ok Franney, not to worry, I'll see if it seems right when I get there. Can't really see where else it could be to be honest. Be a little while yet though, I decided not to risk my 50g and ordered some yarn today (Knit'n'Caboodle don't have a lot left but they had just the thing and only £3.50 a ball, I do love a bargain, me )
