I went to John Lewis on Saturday to buy a couple of dressmaking patterns but they only had one in stock. I asked if they could order it for me and they gave me a delivery time of a laughable four weeks if they ordered from the manufacturer, or two weeks from another JL branch. As it's a summer pattern I wanted it straight away. Or at least this week.

I came home and ordered the pattern online. It arrived today Shocked

So much for the possible four week wait!!

4 weeks!! That's rediculous!!

Another site I can recommend is http://www.habithat.co.uk/ Their postal rates are reasonable, they deliver promptly and have some interesting historical patterns as well as the regular ones!
