Anybody knitting anything top down atm?? |
In theory or in reality? I sort of am, Buttony is still sitting in my knitting bag, but I haven't touched it for weeks - I'm busy with the YF mystery blanket, and it is a bit warm for all that Patons Jet to sit in my lap - plus I agree about the long rows ugh! Maybe when the weather cools off a bit ....... _________________ Ravelry id : Modelwidow |

Are we revitalising this knitalong now the cooler months are in the air??
I'm about to start some topdown knitteds because I've found that I LOVE working top down!!
I have to finish some WIPs that are nearly completed and then I'm off on a top down bonanza I think.
Anyone else?? _________________ Melody's blog

Yes it is Hilary! That still counts in my book!! It's a lovely cardigan to crochet as well - I loved working on mine. I might just have to start another _________________ Melody's blog

I might be joining you in a top down knit yet, I have 200g of patons coral (100g of brown, 100g of green) and am thinking of knitting it into a striped top for my friends wee girl, just found this pattern on rav and it looks ideal, hopefully top down for a 22" chest changing colour every so often will keep me interested.
I dont really like knitting with circs which is why I dont enjoy top down knitting but 200g shouldn't be too bad. |

I have a couple planned too Mr Greenjeans which I started and have done about half of the body but it's going to be a bit big despite being fine with guage and going down a size but may carry on and just wear round the house And am also going to start the Basic Chic Hoodie too I will be doing others later I'm sure too.
I'm not that keen on knitting on circulars either but I like knitting top down otherwise. _________________ Ali xxx |

Well I was going to say, I'm planning on making Cassidy soon, then checked the pattern and realised it wasn't top-down Ah well, I think I am going to make it in black Cygnet aran as I've been craving a black cabled hoodie for ages. Best to start while we still have good daylight! Currently making the Heather Hoodie Vest from the latest Knitscene which is coming along nicely I can't think of a top-down design I'm planning on any time soon! _________________

I'm wanting a dark brown hoodie and have been looking at various patterns but I have worn my CPH so much I think I might make another of those with some of the Forsell aran I got last year
