Yay - I've progressed beyond scarves and blankets - a shrug for DD!!

I only had 2 50g balls of Sirdar Hug, so I thought I'd keep on going until I ran out - it's made a very short & sweet shrug

The pattern was from here and I pretty much followed it to the letter (the neckline looked about right so I carried on!)

DD is happy enough with it and has requested a full length one, so we've just got some Brett Marble chunky in Flamingo - most definitely her choice of colour - I'll be crocheting in the dark as it's a bit loud  Wink

That looks lovely!  i've never been able to follow a crochet pattern, I always lose the end of the row. Should have another go though, cos there's so many nice pattersn out there.

That is lovely. I can crochet but have a mental block when it comes to reading the patterns.

This would suit you because I think you're meant to lose the end of the row - I've been sticking the extra stitch in & I'm not sure it's meant to be there - it just looks a bit different on a child and on a woman with a chest!!

Me too - this was a bit of a non-pattern - very similar to a granny square once I got going (thankfully!)
