Has anyone else been to see this?
I really enjoyed it. The scenery was stunning, Nicole Kidman played a good prissy english woman, the story tugged enough at the heart strings.
But the piece de resistance was the gorgeous Hugh Jackman. Roll on the DVD then I can drool again

I saw it a couple of weeks ago - I thought Nicole Kidman was good but I thought the story was a bit disjointed - so many storylines in one film!
You're right though the scenery was stunning
It was also very very loooooonnng
I much preferred Twilight which I saw the same week - and Edward is gorgeous, although about 30 years too young for me |

You're right about the different storylines - and they would all have made a good film in their own right. Particularly the stolen generation bit, but that still seems to be so sensitive in Australia that I can't see it making the screen in any more explicit form
Probably one of the reasons I really liked it was that it was released in Australia when we were there, and I heard and saw so much about it - so it brings back good memories. It was premiered in Sydney on our first night in Sydney - not that we got close to the threatre to have a look.
Mr L bought a drover hat - but it hasn't turned him into Mr Jackman sadly
