To quote 'Bring a warm snug feeling to your winter knits with Baroque our soft boucle yarn that has a subtle ribbon detail running through it'  Ooooh very pretty shawl thought I when I saw the knitted piece in JLs' so I bought 2 balls and got the free pattern.  Very simple, can do it while watching telly.
BUT and it is a big but......the boucle bit gets stuck in your needles but that's not my biggest grump, no last night I came to a knot which pulled apart to reveal that quite a bit of the remainder of the ball is unknittable in my opinion  Evil or Very Mad  The boucle yarn and ribbon are no longer entwined so I am one unhappy person!!!!

Not sure, do I complain to JL or send an email to Coats Crafts?

I think I'd be calling JL first... although you may get a better deal by phoning Coats directly? I know that Jo028 has had some dealings with Coats directly about a pattern error and had compensation from them so maybe worth a go as you've knitted half the shawl. JL would maybe want the whole faulty ball back - although I'm not sure  Confused

JL will exchange it but if you speak direct to Coats they may like Rowan give you something additional as Debs says!! Worth a try Cool I think I saw that pattern when I was in there.

Yep it was me (good memory Debs) I got £10.00 in patons/coats vouchers even though they failed to admit their basic maths was all wrong & told me it was my tension  Twisted Evil

Managed to finish the shawl with the other ball, I discovered that there was about 6ft of un-entwined yarn in total, will email them and express my shock at their lack of quality control,  I will be polite  Laughing
