Crafty Threads 'n' Yarns

A whole slew of acronyms pertaining to crafty things has evolved over the last few years on Message Boards and blogs.

Here are a few and what they mean.

BW 1-4 Barbara Walkers Treasuries vols 1 to 4
FO Finished Object
Frog, rip it rip it - unravelling knitting to correct a mistake
LYS Local yarn store
OTN On the Needles
PIW Project In Waiting
SABLE Stash Acquisition Beyond Life Expectancy
SEX Stash Enhancement eXpedition
Tink (knit backwards) undoing knitting one stitch at a time
UFO UnFinished Object
WIP Work In Progress

I can't think of any more at the moment but please post here if you see one and want to know what it means or you want to add one of your own.

I will try and collate them now and again so we have a proper alphabetical list.

ps how do i put a pic of one of my quilts on a reply?

carolinne you'll need to host it from some where and copy the url...then you can paste it in your siggy box on profile....if you save to pc and a make a small pic (80x80 pixels and less than 6kb...you can use it as an avatar)

In any post you make...you add the url to the actual reply box ...HTH

carolinne, you need to upload your picture from your computer to a hosting site. I use photobucket

then copy and paste the url which is assigned to your picture into your reply.

Jacquie will be able to explain better I'm sure Confused
