I'm with Auntie Noo, living vicariously through you all.
*Sigh* I so miss my (Mum's) Kenwood. We've even got rid of all the attachments which feels worse somehow, like we're never going to get another one

I got mine from my friend...it's not a really old 70s one...early 90's I think, but it's fab and I love it...I only have the K-beater, whisk and the dough hook...I really want a liquidiser and all the other bits you can get!!?! I'm intrigued by your sausages n! I'd love a 1950's Kenwood just for display!
Does anyone have a good recipe for crumble mix??? I'm a bit hopeless with that in the Kenwood...I left it too long one and it turned into pastry! What attachment do you use??! _________________ Sarah

We are getting half a pig!!!
(apologies to the vegetarians).
It's an outdoor reared one.
So next weekend I will be making sausgages.
Would you like a how-to?
Has anyone ever made cured ham or bacon or salami? I fancy having a go at bacon too, and I'll need to buy the seasonings and stuff this week, so I'm all ready.

My Kenwood Chef is v v v old --- it was bought second hand some 30 years ago. I had lusted after it in a shop window, then much to my delight I received it as a mothers day present. I tried to age it once I think it must be well over 50 years old now. Its cream and grey. The original bowl broke and sadly I had to replace it with a modern one.
I use it to make cakes and bread, I don't have any attachments just the basic K beater; whisk and dough hook.
I love it and my daughter has asked me to leave it to her in my will! _________________ Gillian

Crumble mix
4 oz Butter or marg
8 oz flour (don't think it matters which kind)
Grated rind of an orange
Should be 3 oz of sugar but i do cut this down sometimes not using any
2 oz of hazelnuts
just put it in the mixer together and give it a quick pulse so it looks like breacrumbs. You can also add porridge oats, which i love.

I'm green green green with envy. I hope you enjoy playing with it and yes please, I love meringues!
I'm eyeing up the "starter Kenwood"in the Lakeland catalogue. I could afford it now if I wasn't saving to go to Austria in February. Perhaps when I come back?
