oooh ooooh oooh - so 2 things to say!! cos I popped in to bookmark it for my blogroll (otherwise I would forget Rolling Eyes

)- I Lurve your photo on the top (and the one of you on your profile is lovely too!) and one of your fave books is Jonathon Strange and Mr Norrell......... I have been umming and ahhhing over this on audible since I first joined - the length is putting me off a tad - but is it really that good (yeah I know I just hijacked your thread, but I hope you don't mind!)

The new blog seems nice, I just have to move in!
Re Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell, it is long, and it isn't the fastest paced story either, so you have to like the style and the subject I think, but I love fairy tales and it is written in a very clever way so it sounds like Jane Austen, and it presents a different but similar history of England, but with Magick as part of it, which I just found fascinating. The story is well structured, too.
