My darning foot and other bits arrived on Friday, so tonight I had my first go at free machine embroidery. Not exactly got it under control yet but I did manage to do a couple of outlines of some leaf shapes and a bird  Very Happy It's great fun - I found it quite mesmerising! Also made my back ache so I'm going to do some knitting now and have another go at this tomorrow.

It's looking really good Sprite!
I've never got the hang of all the different feet (foots?) even after 23 years with the same machine. I have just about managed the zipper foot, but that's all.
Pretty much everything I ever sew gets done with the standard foot Embarassed

Thanks! I haven't used many of the ones I got with my machine. Mostly the everyday one. I did use the zipper foot recently and I've used the special button hole one too.
