Hello- I\'m Joy and I used to Knit ;-)
I'm so pleased to hear how well the job is going, you deserve to enjoy it, you've waited a long while for the right place to come up. As Carol said, you will soon find a new knitting routine that fits around work hours.

I am sorry that your mum will no longer be able to cope at home on her own, but once you have got her settled into a place that she will be happy you will have some peace of mind. It is no fun always having to have that worry in the back of your mind.
Take care
X
Hello- I\'m Joy and I used to Knit ;-)
Glad you are enjoying your job Joy Very Happy   I hope things settle down for your Mum as well Very Happy
Hello- I\'m Joy and I used to Knit ;-)
Hi Joy, so nice to have you here, i think i've met your sister too! Wink

I'm so pleased for you that you're happy in your new job, it must be so nice after all this time!!
I am sorry to hear about your Mum though but i do agree with what everyone else has said, she'll settle into her new home wherever it is xx
Hello- I\'m Joy and I used to Knit ;-)
I'm really pleased that your new job is working out so well. You will get used to the different hours, and I'm sure you will pick up those needles very soon. (Must admit I haven't knitted anything for ages - need some inspiration!).

I hope the situation with your mum gets sorted out soon.
Hello- I\'m Joy and I used to Knit ;-)
Hello and welcome.

I'm glad you are enjoying your new job, you will find time for knitting once you get into a routine.

Hope your mum gets settled soon.
Hello- I\'m Joy and I used to Knit ;-)
Thank you everyone for the lovely welcome - I'll let my sister know you were asking about her Laughing

Seriously, it's been quite a week, but in a brilliant sort of way. And thanks to yesterday I now have a clean house and all my washing and ironing is up to date, so I won't be playing catch up all week.

Today I am going to see mum. I see a change every time I see her now which is terribly sad. I will be speaking to her social worker tomorrow, and my brother and I have a meeting with her ( SW ) next Monday ( my brother is away next week ) My brother and I don't speak to each other directly any more, we seem incapable of behaving like adults at present and leave answerphone messages for each other. ( He phones when he knows I am at work, if he IS in in the evening when I ring he doesn't pick up - sad, isn't it Sad )

Tomorrow I am having a day off where I plan some ME time. I have to go for a blood test in the morning, an occie health requirement for measles antigen - I had measles as a child, but there's no real way of "proving" it. After that I plan some TV time and some knitting. I have 2 episodes of Casualty and 3 of Holby on the Sky + to catch up with for starters. I also have holiday photos to show you too, so will try to upload them later today. I am hoping this week will settle into more of a routine, which I am sure it will.

The most important thing in all of this is that I absolutely love what I am doing - love it  Very Happy  Very Happy You would not believe how much better I feel for being settled into a regular pattern of sleep.
Hello- I\'m Joy and I used to Knit ;-)
Hey there, you're sounding like a new woman Very Happy
I'm sooo pleased the job is everything you hoped and now you can kick back on a Sunday and chill.
Although, i'm sorry about your Mum and all that side of the equation but as as already been your Mum will settle in soon enough. Have a fab Sunday {{{}}}} nice to have you back Very Happy
Hello- I\'m Joy and I used to Knit ;-)
Good to hear the job is going okay Joy.

Good luck with getting your mum sorted.

When looked for care for my nan, we were advised to look for one that didn't smell iyswim.
Hello- I\'m Joy and I used to Knit ;-)
I am sure we have meet on another forum   Wink

I just want to give you a very big hug   Very Happy   I have been thinking of you so much lately that my brain hurts   Confused

Would I have passed throught your village on the way to the Malvern Autumn Show?  The weekend you went on holiday   Sad   but I did come home from the show, on the coach with 2 (real) ducks  Laughing  Laughing
Hello- I\'m Joy and I used to Knit ;-)
Jacky, I don't live in a village as such. Malvern is made up of lots of communities, there is Malvern Link, Great Malvern, Little Malvern, Malvern Wells, North Malvern, West Malvern ( where they are all a little odd Wink ) and Barnards Green. I live in the Link, so depending which way you went to the show you may or may not have done.

Did you enjoy the show? I have lived here for some 23 years, yet have never been to any show of any sort there apart from when the children sang in a choir for the Archbishop of Canterbury there several years ago.
