Anybody knitting anything top down atm?? |
In theory or in reality? I sort of am, Buttony is still sitting in my knitting bag, but I haven't touched it for weeks - I'm busy with the YF mystery blanket, and it is a bit warm for all that Patons Jet to sit in my lap - plus I agree about the long rows ugh! Maybe when the weather cools off a bit ....... |

i am totally amazed that i have finished mine already. i have done the smallest size, i know there is more than likely a few mistakes but it does look good. fits DD2 lovely. i didnt do any sleeves on mine as i loved the effect of the little capped sleeves that you got at the chain 10 for underarms.
will get a pic up sometime tomorrow. |
| Baby blanket Pattern & Yarn |
My SIL is due to have her baby in a couple of weeks and I'd like to make a quick & simple blanket with a hole in the middle for use with their travel system. - I'm thinking of black or something to tone with black - certainly not pastel "baby" colours for this one!
Any one seen any bargain yarns or a great pattern (or both!!)
I'm drawn to Patons Jet, but I'm not sure it's at all practical with first time parents - the next best thing at Kemps is [url=http://www.kempswoolshop.com/ ... |
| Debbie Macomber Blossom Street books |
Has anybody tried these? I just picked up a couple in Tescos on offer - they are about a group of women who own/visit a yarn shop and the power of knitting to change lives (I think!!). They seem to be very popular and you can even get books that go along with them with the patterns mentioned in each one for you to knit along
I'm not normally a chicklit person but thought I'd give them a go since they were on offer!! |
