Well....I did something inbetween looby and jessica's recipe ( 2 eggs, 150ml milk, 100ml water, salt and pepper) and beat it til my arm hurt...I made sure my fat was SMOKING hot...I used sunflower oil and this time used a muffin tin instead of a shallower bun tin! They came out so huge some of them had stuck to the oven at the top! Ben declared...'Wow Mummy, they are the hugest puddings!' I was going to take a photo but the blighters were all too hungry to let me! Laughing

Thanks for all the tips girls...hopefully it'll work next time too! Smile I think I may have to get one of those old fashioned hand whisks with the handle you turn?? Smile

Linz that sounds yum! Smile I think where I may have been going wrong is not enough egg...no water and maybe not actually putting enough mixture in the tins...using the muffin tins I put loads more in than normal and they worked really well! Smile My lot love toad in the hole as well with onion gravy so will have to try the recipe out with that too! Smile

Well done Blossom   Very Happy

All this talk of Yorkshire Pudding, yesterday I went home and the only thing that was on my menu was Toad-in-the-Hole with onion gravy and I really don't know why but I also wanted Rice Pudding.

So completely fresh, no tin stuff what-so-ever including the vegtable onion gravy all were made and cooked in the oven.   Noel and Poppy thought I had gone potty.   Rolling Eyes

Noel had never ever had Toad or Rice Pudding that didn't come out of a tin.   Very Happy   It was so filling and I believe they are both happy to have it again.

Both receipes from Delia Smith's site, which I use all the time.   Wink

Laughing  I had rice pudding last night too!  And toad the night before!!

What do you have on your rice pudding?  I'm for jam or stewed fruit.  Mr L has golden syrup.
