Or for anyone who isn't on Ravelry you can get the pattern here too http://docs.google.com/View?docid=dctqn9j6_35ghdk3p
I put a closeup of the Latvian Twisted Edge on my Ravelry notes but then thought you might like to see it here. It's very effective and really simple to do. I finished the first sock last night and as DH had to get up really early this morning, too early for me but not for knitting I cast on for sock 2 and did the twisted rib. With a bit of luck I'll have these finished for the weekend. _________________

I DO like those colours you know.
You can use the Twisted Edge and rib for any sock couldn't you. _________________

I should think so Joy, you can just fancy up a plain sock and do your fave heel and everything _________________

Yay go for it ladies!
I think I'll be using it for lots more socks in the future. You twist the needle under every 4 stitches, so easy enough to convert. I was looking at her other patterns too all free, see sidebar here http://tuulia.blogspot.com/
Look at those mittens! I think I can hear my stash singing
