|
|
Just two pics of my progress so far on the Icarus Shawl from Interweave Knits and the Forest Canopy shawl.
I'm knitting Icarus in a laceweight merino from stash... I still prefer knitting with 4ply or sock yarn compared to laceweight but I think this laceweight really suits the Icarus Shawl.
... and the FCS in GeminiKnits Sockyarn.
I am loving both of these patterns, especially the FCS. I can see how the FCS could be a very quick knit for more experienced knitters.

Lol!
I knit practically everything on circs nowadays. Have even learned how to knit two socks at once on circulars - although I never did get round to finishing them!!
My love of circular needles started with felted bags which were knit in the round and really heavy. I liked how the cable takes all the weight of the project and rests in my lap. (Ok, so lace isn't heavy... but it's what I'm used to now).
