Tell me I'm not the only person left in the world who hasn't knitted a pair of these yet? I don't know why, it's a lovely pattern. The yarn is Fyberspates Superwash Merino in Mallard, quite difficult to photograph but the name sums it up completely. One sock down and halfway down the leg of sock 2 as I want these for the weekend.
First things first though, I need a strong cup of coffee as I've just taken out eldest son for a top up driving lesson (he is having proper paid for ones too) Mustn't complain as he's doing really well, especially as he only started last week. I just need to try and prize my finger nails out from the passenger armrest

Those look lovely. I haven't knitted any monkeys yet!
Can sympathise with the driving - my DS has been learning to drive for about 6 months, and has failed his test twice, but on Saturday drove 5 of us to Glasgow and back . Not the most relaxing of trips. _________________

Those are just beautiful Tracey, and I LOVE the colour.
I haven't made monkey socks either - but Gilraen's and now yours really should inspire me a I have yet to see a pair of monkeys I don't like. _________________

Thanks!
I'm glad to see I'm not the only one left then and yes I had noticed your love of Monkeys Gilraen, it was you that set me off What's this about the No purl version that I keep reading? Not that I mind purl in any way and I already have 3 "must have" sock patterns ready to knit straight after this one. So much for trying to knit something other than socks from sock yarn, I am a failure
