Well I have finally finished my first sock, it was a long time coming and I almost gave up on the toes shaping it wasn't easy on 2 circs at all, would it be easier to put the stitches back on DPN's
Also made a little mistake in the grafting, it's puckered a little on the edge as I used the yarn tain to graft, probably should have used a seperate scrap of yarn.
I have already started on the second one but have only gone a few rows past the ribbing,
Anyway here it is, modeled on my foot, I took the measurement from the regata pattern which was suppost to be for shoe size 4 - 6.5 and it doesn't fit properly, hopefully it will be fine for my friend whos a size smaller thanme.
Edited for bad spelling _________________ So much knitting so little time

It looks lovely Cathie
Re - the grafting - when you have finished decreasing for the toe, make sure you leave a nice long length of yarn to thread your needle and do your grafting. You don't need to use a separate scrap of yarn, just use what you have been knitting with - and cut it long - I usually cut about 12-15 inches. Hope this helps |
