My January socks are halfway complete! In SWTC tofutsies in a pinky purple shade. Have knitted loads over the last few days and am now on the rib of the second sock.... I never cast on sock two straightaway - amazing what a bit of competition can do!
No pics at the mo - need to load camera software onto laptop - hopefully tomorrow!

Sounds like you're getting on well LJ, and the yarn sounds delicious! Have to agree, I've never knitted socks so fast _________________

Well very little knitting has been done this week, because of the madness that has overtaken the Looby household this week, but there is a unexpected 'window of opportunity' suddenly available!
Tonight I'm going to Reading instead of Swindon and DH has suggested I go first class 'so you can be more comfortable' and I get an extra 30 mins on the train - so an hour and a quarter! Just time to turn the heel!!!!! And the extra comfort of a first class seat.
Yipeee.

I'd say every cloud has a silver lining - but i feel it sounds a bit crass, and I don't mean it that way
Will be thinking of you on Monday - hope the weather settles - you surely are on a hill up there!!!! _________________ Claire

Thank you Noo - I know exactly how you mean that and you're right! Have thought of you several times this week as we've been in and around Guildford a lot! Especially when we were near Newlands Corner the other day - I looked out for you and Spot! (We were looking at the Manor for the wake - but have ended up at the Hilton near Wisley.)
Well, the first class carriage was a treat - quiet, warm and comfortable! And, the heel is turned and about a quarter of the foot done! Hurrah!!!
