Malteser, it's a yarn called Four Seasons Hot Socks 'Rio Grande' sock yarn. I got it in a 2 kilo lot of yarn from an eBay seller in Germany last year and didn't cost the earth, in fact it cost very little actually Wink

It's totally gorgeous stuff to work with and is 75% wool and 25% polyamide, just like Opal. Danny has already put his order in for his little pair too after seeing Matt's pair taking shape Wink He says he wants a pair of wristwarmers as well, after using mine to dress up in through Christmas Evil or Very Mad

Those colours are beautiful, Everyone seems to be knitting so fast, I've only done 2 inches on my first sock, bit hampered by the DPNs which are driving me nuts.

Well it was a bit of a bargain Ali, but I didn't have a choice over the colours, it was a bit of a lucky dip. I got a huge bag of 'coloured' sock yarn and a huge bag of plain socks yans too. And I ordered a couple of times too. That's how my sock yarn stash is soooo big.... Embarassed

The problem is that the colours of the yarns are lovely that I got and some are more well known colours and brands (but rebanded), but I haven't a clue how they will knit up until I start knitting!
