the other thing was that i did suggest extra goings on to enhance our quilting enjoyment and for this month the idea was to swap a fat quarter of fabric and that this fabric would be included in this march's design
i am happy to go ahead with tihs but others may not be so please say so we can organise it if enough people want to ....enough would be two really so there can be a swap _________________

Well March is home to Mothers' Day (in the UK, not sure about anywhere else), and this year there is also Easter , which conjures up eggs, chicks, bunnies, Daffadils and Easter Bonnets
I also like the idea of sending a fat quarter for inclusion in Marchs design _________________ ravelry id : janice61

I would love to swap a fat quarter.
Mother's Day is in May in the USA BTW
Just to be controversial I would like to suggest something totally unconnected with the usual Spring holidays.
How about "Dragons"
I love dragons, both the St George type and the Chinese type.
Or something more gentle - elves, pixies, fairies, and OK leprechauns ( St Patrick's Day is March 14th) _________________ Jacquie

Thank you Jacquie, I knew it wasn't March
Just been googling, as you do and found that near the end of March is Hanami which is the Japanese traditional custom of enjoying the beauty of flowers so we could have cherry blossoms _________________ ravelry id : janice61

Easter sounds good to me, and I also like Janice's idea of cherry blossoms for Hanami, which if I recall correctly from Pink Lemon Twist's blog, is also a celebration of friendship as well as spring. And cherry blosoms are soooo beautiful.
Mind you, dragons would be cool too.
So I haven't really made much of a contribution here, have I?
OK, I vote for cherry blossoms and the Hanami festival.
I think the fat quarter exchange is a lovely idea, however as I am doing mine in yarn I'm not sure how it would work for me. I would be willing to send a fat quarter (cos I do have some) to someone if they would be willing to send me some DK in a suitable colour, based on the theme and my squares so far, to use in my crochet. Would that be OK? _________________
