Thanks ladies, i am itching to get going on the last two blocks but i have a full day today so it will have to wait until after i have made some "fridge bottom" soups cos my fresh veg boxcame today and i still have some bits left from Christmas!! Shocked
It's amazing how fresh it keeps though, parsnips, potatoes, carrots and onions, all still useable after 3 weeks! I doubt supermarket bought veg would have lasted that long!

Those squares are gorgeous Franney. In fact i love them so much I have just ordered this book from Amazon. I can crochet but have a total block when following the patterns.

Oh, you'll love it malteser, they really are easy to follow - i've found a couple of mistakes in the book i have but they are glaringly obvious and i only noticed it was wrong after i'd done the round and realised i had just carried on instinctively!

I would like to do a whole blanket using "Willow", it's just a gorgeous block heart

* I might give the  'love knot' square a go now...I guess i've been inspired hun Wink*

Well, the last block is finshed and i'm about to sit and sew all the ends in - so not looking forward to that bit!! Shocked

I also need to have a think about how i want to join them, i quite like the idea of knitted "sashing" but i need to research it a bit first as i don't have the faintest clue how to go about it!!

Well done Franney Very Happy

I always double crochet my squares together - depending on whether you do right or wrong sides together depends on whether the ridge is on the inside or outside.  Is that what you mean by sashing? Confused
