Yay, my new sewing machine arrived this morning and once the kids were tucked up, I had a play with it.   Mr. Green  Mr. Green   I've started my first ever sewing project - a sock bag.  I got a tuturial off the internet.

Anyway, I've done the outside of the bag, so here's a photo.  No laughing please.   Laughing  Laughing

It took me longer to cut the stupid squares/rectangles out in the first place than it did to do the actual sewing bit.  Tomorrow I'm going to make the liner, then finish it.  Anyone know where I can get some cord and stopper thingie for the draw string part?

you're welcome.   Wink

It was quite interesting turning the corners, as you have to rotate the square underneath, whilst keeping the rectangle bit on top of the square straight.   Laughing

I was going to make the kids one each, but bodged up the fabric cutting, so it's all mine.   Twisted Evil   If I made them different ones, they'd only squabble over them.   Rolling Eyes
