Yes, it's socks from me too, but it's still a challenge with sock yarn for me because I decided I'd learn a new technique to make them.  I did all the cables without a cable needle    So that's something to cross off my resolutions list.  And I reaquainted myself with knitting on two circulars, which I tried last year and thought I didn't much like, but I really enjoyed it this time around  Rolling Eyes

The pattern is Freya (links directly to a PDF!), the yarn is Lornas Laces Shepherd Sock in Brick (from stash  Very Happy )and I used Grumperina's guide to cabling without a cable needle.  One down, one to go.  Sorry, not a great pic but hopefully you'll get the idea  Very Happy

Those are very pretty, well done on the cabling with out a needle it looks complicated.  It's on my list of must try things this year as I am always either loosing the needle or it drops out of the stitches anyway

What a brilliant way to start off the new year with a useful technique too. I think it's way I started Magic Loop, cable needles and double pins is like trying to knit with a hedgehog  Laughing

erm, rumbled!   Shocked  I didn't actually start out on them intended to learn to do it without the cable needle, but it rapidly became apparent that I couldn't manage the cable needle and the circs  Rolling Eyes  Laughing   Needs must  Very Happy  I wish I'd bothered to learn when I was struggling along with those blasted knee-high cabled ones  Rolling Eyes  Laughing  Life would have been SO much easier  Very Happy
