Ambledown pies do sounds rather nice, I'll have to keep my eyes peeled for them.
My favourite veggie thing is my mum's nut roast. She uses the basic recipe from the Cranks cookbook and layers cheese and tomatoes in the middle then serves it with Ikea's meatball sauce or gravy. Yum.
I'm not allowed to be veggie as I go very anaemic, very quickly on occasion and the doctor recommends that I eat a little meat to keep my iron count up and red meat if it drops. To be honest I don't mind overmuch as I'd really miss bacon sandwiches and pork crackling if I was a total veggie. Otherwise I'm not hugely bothered about meat - I eat it because I've got to and it's better than anaemia.
