Noo's time of 35 ish mins is just fantastic Well done Noo stop being so hard on yourself! I'm running it in two weeks time and am consistently getting a time of between 39 and 41 mins so your time of 35 frightens me Also very well done knitting nanny. My time when I first set out was 57 mins and that was walking but walking and knitting? You're a star!
I'm praying for a temp of about 13 degrees - no wind, and defo no rain. My race is along the beach front so well exposed to the elements. _________________

My ankles don't want to move, my knees have forgotten that they are supposed to bend....
My trainers decided to wear a hole in the heel on the morning of the race so I have two blisters on my left heel and my face was redder than a beetroot
but ...
I DID IT
The only training I did was that run way back in the winter however I completed the race in 38 minutes (Noel timed me as I went through the start / finish lines) and I could still talk at the end. The old competitive Jacky found herself and I ran to the 2km mark and then jogged / walked as fast as my legs would take me the rest of the way
But I did it and in doing so, have raised just over £300.00... |
