Thanks guys.

I'm really into solid colours at the moment & love how you can really see the stitch pattern compared to using a variegated yarn.

I had planned to finish my dad's scarf now but he emailed me a couple of days ago to say that he's going away to a warmer climate so I don't need to get it finished now for a bit.  So I've just been stash diving & have dug out some James C. Brett Merino (same yarn used in the other bedsocks) in a BRIGHT red  Very Happy   I've had a real hankering for some bright red socks for myself & as our house is cold I'm casting on for a pair of bedsocks for myself tonight  Very Happy  Very Happy  Very Happy

It is gorgeous & I can image that they'll be lovely to wear in bed.  I took n's advice & washed the completed pairs (+ all my machine washable handknitted socks) in Ecovers' wool wash & used the fabric conditioner as well. The bedsocks are SOOOOOOOOOOOO soft I almost don't want to give them away hence the urge to make some for myself.

I had planned to use the red for a pair of bedsocks for my MIL's birthday next month but SIL told me this morning that her mum can't stand wearing socks in bed so I'll be making them for me instead  Very Happy  Very Happy  Very Happy

Here are the Christmas bedsocks all washed & blocked as best as can be done without tiny sock blockers.

All were knitted with James C. Brett Pure Merino on 3.5mm circular needles knitted two at the same time cuff down.

They're now under the tree at my SIL's house & will be on relevant tooties in the morning  Very Happy

They've all come out beautifully. Very nice indeed! Very Happy I'm with your MIL in not being able to wear socks in bed. It just feels weird to me.

Thanks Ali.

I'm always cold & DH won't let me warm my feet up on him so bedsocks are essential  Smile
