these will be a present for my other sister, the one who isn't getting last month's Tidal Waves.  I'm nearly at the toe of the first sock so all on track so far.

The yarn is Crystal Palace Panda Cotton in Blueberries/Grapes, bought from the Woolly Workshop and it's gorgeous stuff!  I took this pic a while back but I'll pop it here anyhow because I think it shows the colours a little better.

Yummy! The Monkey pattern seems to suit any yarn doesn't it, no matter what it's patterning Smile

Thanks everyone, and especially to you Gilraen for helping to enable me into buying some of this yarn a while back Very Happy  I'm very taken with it, and there's no wool in it either so ideal for people who are allergic or don't like the feel of wool  Very Happy  It does feel lovely  heart

Ah shucks Embarassed I'm glad you like it Smile I bought it at the RDS knitting show after seeing it knit into Monkeys in different colours by the girls at one of the retailers there: This Is Knit (my Dublin LYS). Smile

Thank you  Very Happy

I'm going to have a little Oooh! now if that's OK - a couple of people have marked my sock, this one, as a Favourite in Ravelry and I hadn't heard of one of them so I trogged over to her Notebook to check her out and ...... she's one of the co-owners of Crystal Palace Yarns!   Shocked  And she likes what I've done with her yarn .... I'm rather gobsmacked, lots of people have used Panda Cotton  Confused  Maybe she's working her way backwards through the projects on Ravelry, and mine was one of the first she found.

But still, I'm having a warm, smug moment here, indulge me ...   Very Happy
