Looks great! I know what you mean about cutting out. One of the first things I made was a needle case - OH was very good at cutting out, luckily! I've been doing a bit more sewing today - did the waistband on my skirt. I'm realising how much time you need to take preparing, compared to actual sewing. Don't give up Smile it does get easier.

that is really lovely, I can see no bodge job at all, I am looking for something to keep my circulars in and failing miserably.

Chrissy - there is a pattern in Stitch n Bitch for a circular needle holder, and there are quite a few people selling them on etsy.
