Got in by the skin of my teeth, but taking pics at 10.30pm isn't condusive to good photo/colour quality but they are finally done!!!!
I cant say that I'm pleased with them, but I suppose that was inevitable after the performance I've had knitting them. They gave me a final couple of kicks in the teeth - first at 9pm when I thought I had finished but no, needed to knit another pattern repeat as I had counted wrong and then on the cast off with a dropped stitch They do need to be blocked too but I wanted to get them in for this month as I think I would have given up sock knitting if I had to carry them over into another month I hope the recipient likes them more than me. Here's a close up of the hearts as its really difficult to see the design in the dark pics (and they are too small for my blockers or to try on):
I'm disappointed as well because I have never put as much effort or worked so hard at a pair of socks as these ones. Oh well, I've poured a very large G&T (crikey, by the time MrP gets home I will be sozzled as I dont really drink) and am off to find a good B movie on the TV to veg in front of Here's to September's cuff down pair! _________________

| Well done for finishing, and persevering, hope your friend likes them. I am doing the same pattern in PY but mine are now deferred to September socks (hopefully) as I have yet to do the heel on the first one. |

I think you've made a beautiful job of them! And I'm dead proud of you for seeing them through to the end.
Think I'll have a wee drinkie tonight as a toast to your dedication. Well, that'll be my excuse!
