i have finally finished the Sassy Stripe socks!!
These were meant to be my June socks and i cast them on the night i got back from GK so that was the 2nd June!! Finished them on Sunday!! Shocking! I'm going to be two pairs behind for my SAM now
Anyway - toe-up pattern from Summer IK including a short row heel and a sewn cast-off, yarn used was a lone skein of Lorna's Laces "Sassy Stripes" and i knitted them both together on two 60cm 2mm circs until i ran out
close up of toe:
close up of heel:
Oh, and i knitted an extra inch of stocking stitch on the heel needle after the heel was finished as i find the short row heel can be a bit shallow.
I've decided to send these socks away to live with someone else as i really haven't enjoyed knitting them and i would hate for them to fester away in a drawer so they are going to my SP10 pal

They are just fab. smashing colourway. (feeling slightly envious of your SP here)
Can I just ask...how did you extend your short row heel?. I don't mind them when i'm knitting a cuff but found them a tad shallow for the trainer socks. _________________

Well, as they were knit on two circs i had the front on one needle and the heel on the other so once the heel was done i carried on knitting the pattern on the front needle and stocking stitch on the heel needle for about an inch and then i started the patterning back on the heel needle for the cuff
Does that make sense? I'm a bit pants at explaining things _________________
