My favourite knitted piece of this year! This is Devan from Knitty. I knitted this in May of this year for my little 2yo DS Ben! It's quite a generous pattern so I knitted him the 1-2 year size. It's knitted in 4 ply Opal Sugar Almond Blue and Pale Blue Opal Uni and only took me a few weeks.
I absolutely adore my little DS in this, we have had so much wear out of it and it still looks fantastic, and we got lots of comments from people when we were out and about with him in this! I love it so much I'm going to be knitting him the next size up for Spring in some lovely Lana Grossa yarn in a mix of browns, khakis and cream!

I love it. I can see why you get so many positive comments. How many balls did it take?

Hi n....I just bought a 100g ball of each of the Opals and there was plenty! The actual yarn in the pattern is different though! _________________ Sarah

Blossom - that's lovely and so is the model! I love that pattern, and I can well understand why you would want to knit another one. _________________

I'm always on the lookout for other uses for my sock yarn, I can see that the back is plain so that's how it only took 2 balls.
It really is so unusual.

My boys are too old for the pattern now ~ the biggest hates my knitting, he says it makes him itch , and the littlest wants knitted Action Man hoodies. There's no justice
Your Devan cardi looks adorable, and your son is adorable too! He has blond curls like my oldest still does! _________________ Melody's blog
