I would love a skirt like that. Did you have a pattern? Does it go up to adult sizes and was it hard?

So many questions...................... Very Happy You are very clever Very Happy

The pattern is by a company called Studio Tantrum and is called Redondo - I got mine from Ebay.com but they're now available from http://www.dotsnstripes.co.uk/

The pattern gpnly goes up to age 10 but you can make it wider by adding extra panels (there are 5 in the child's version) and you could cut the upper parts of the skirt longer so it was fairly straight then flared out just above the knee. I think there's a similar adult pattern in the Kwik Sew range.

It's not a difficult garment to make - it's a European pattern so you have to trace the pattern and add Seam Allowances - I kept them to 1/4" which makes getting around the curves a lot easier!

That's so pretty and what a great idea to make bunting from the leftovers. The little girl will be thrilled.

Another lovely outfit - I was thinking of making DD some similiar dresses for summer - I used to make some pullover the head dropped waist dresses for myself (late eighties) and thought I could do some similar ones for DD which would take her thro the summer...

The dress is from Ottobre issue 2/05 - I have a subscription, but you can order back issues from their website. If you click on the covers at the bottom of the page you can view the line drawings and pictures - it really is a fab magazine & well worth the money!

The hat is a freebie - http://www.wildginger.com/ if you download the "wild things" programme it's on there - you type in your measurements and it generates a pattern for you Smile

Enjoy!
