my postie always smiles as he hands me a parcel too. I got one today and two yesterday. I must try jaywalkers again, cos last time they got frogged - i think they need a stripy yarn like yours' and not the variagated I was trying.
i might have to place an order with chrissy when she's back from cornwall too, cos I love the gryffindor colour.

Your Jaywalkers look really good! I'm clueless about all things HP, but that doesn't stop me admiring this colour combo.
My postie waited until I was in the shower this morning, but luckily for me, hubby was on hand to take possession of my Harmony Stitch Guides! He didn't raise an eyebrow when I said I was ordering them; he knows I'm looking for inspiration for his next socks. Besides, they were cheap! _________________ My Blog: Put a Sock in it |

Chrissy was so good. I only contacted her on the Thursday after seeing the colour combination in her Etsy shop. She came straight back to me and told me she would dye them that afternoon and make the stripes closer together as they were supposed to be for a child. She'd hopefully manage to get the skein dry and post it on the Friday which was the day she went on holiday, just so I received the yarn on Saturday morning. What service
Methinks Chrissy might have to do a few more skeins when she gets back I'm going to have to get another skein maybe too, my son keeps looking at me with soulful eyes......I've even told him that I'm test piloting them for him..oh I'm bad, very BAD.

Hiya,
so glad you decided to join us, your Jaywalkers have come out great and the stripes are fine for adult socks. Any body wanting any harry potter yarns just give me a yell, lol.

I am actually quite dissapointed as nobody yet has asked for Slytherin socks, I have done loads of Gryffindor and quite a few ravenclaw and 4 hufflepuffs but no slytherins. _________________ www.brightdyes.wahmall.co.uk

Those are so fab! I like the jaywalker leg and smooth foot btw, I think that was a good choice. _________________

The stripes look great. I have just started reading the Harry Potter books again in preparation for the new book coming out in July. _________________

Thank you people! Chrissy, you did a brilliant job on the colours. I just turned the heel and am now working on the gusset, these sockies will be finished this weekend I hope
I never thought to see what House I should be, so just did the Sorting Hat thing. Appparently I'm a Hufflepuff, one point ahead of a Ravenclaw on a separate test (well.... I had to be sure!) but does that mean I should be doing black yellow, blue and bronze socks
I'm obviously not brave, daring, bold or chivalrous enough for Gryffindor, but quite happy to be loyal, dependable, true and just with a splash of Ravenclaw for good measure.
I think I must have Slytherin traits too though...I mean what mother pinches her son's socks? Bad, bad Tracy _________________

I finished them last night..what with the weather being its usual Bank Holiday rubbish, I was able to crack on and indulge in a spot of snuggling up on the sofa armed with yarn, needles and a huge bowl of strawberries (fresh from the garden)
I'm wearing them as I type, despite the looks from youngest son who did his own Harry Potter test last night and came up with Ravenclaw...see? It was a good job I didn't make them for him despite the pc's claim that I am a Hufflepuff
I'm just debating now whether to cast on for some Tidal Waves or make matching pairs for two odd socks sat in my basket. Decisions, decisions
