I have to confess...
I have a sewing machine stash....
20 year old Pfaff, bought as a student nurse and costing (then) almost a months wages. This is my lending out machine Xt!n@... if only you were closer.
Ten year old Bernina. Bought in a fit of freedom after getting rid of horrid ex, I think it's called Comfort Shopping.
1930's Frister Rossmann hand operated with marquetry inlay, found in a skip!
1897 Singer treadle, given to me by my father in law who got it at a jumble sale. it has no cover, and the gilding is almost gone, but in the drawer were the receipts for a brides wedding flowers circa 1930, sweet peas. I made the patchwork quilt on our bed on it. The piecing and the quilting.
1927 Singer treadle Lotus pattern... lovely. it folds away under a cover making it "useful".
White Singer Featherweight 221K, 1963. Mint condition.
Black Singer Featherweight 222K Freearm, rare, can be used to free motion quilt because you can drop the feed dogs. 1958.

Okay then, I have in no particular order:
- a standard gauge punchcard Knitmaster machine with a lace carriage and ribber
- a Brother standard gauge machine with a lace carriage, and a garter carriage for doing purl and plain in the same row
- a mid gauge Silver Reed electronic machine with a ribber, and electronic box for patterning although I usually use the main bed on its ownio
- a Brother chunky punchcard machine with ribber
- I technically have a Silver Reed LK150 plastic bed machine too, but my mate Wendy has it on permanent loan _________________ Melody's blog

A hand operated singer, bought by my grandmother in th 1930's
A hand operated singer, similar age, but different type of spool.
Argos's cheapest machine,5/6 years old, replaced twice under guarantee!
Novum(?) machine bought as a student nurse, from a Singer shop, supposedly reconditioned, but has caused endless problems with the tension.
"The Essex Miniature Machine" which claims to come from the Silk Shop in Fredrick's St. Edinburgh on the instructions. _________________

While you lot are stashing, I'm into negative equity on this one.
My machine (singular) has been on loan to a friend since before Christmas.
I was due to collect it this weekend but the car broke down and I didn't get there
Hopefully this coming weekend.... |

I have a Seamstress manual sewing machine that is about 40 years old and used to be my Mum's.
I have knocked up lots of curtains on it, and outfits for school plays etc. I can only make very simple things really, I don't much like sewing.
In fact the worst job in the whole wide world is turning up school trousers. I have been tempted to do them on the machine, but they wouldn't look right.
