Fat Cat, no I bought the beads from a local shop. They are 8/0 japanese seed beads. The yarn is Lorna's Laces Gold Hill. thanks for your lovely comments everybody.

Here's the final result. As usual Lorna's Laces knitted up beautifully. They are so comfy and the fit is just spot on. I rather liked this pattern although all the new techniques bering at the start of the sock meant that once they were done the rest was quite boring.
*shuffles off now to peruse her long list of sock pattterns to identify her next victim...*
