Gilraen, the pattern is very easy but it seemed to take a while to get anywhere. One of those socks that just didn't grow but suddenly they were done.

Angie, the only reason I used this yyarn was I was desperate to start something and the Flamingo was the only sock wool I had left in my stash - I have now rectified that sitiuation Laughing Was desperate to get out of the house at the weekend and then DH had the flu too so I had to indulge in some online retail therapy which resulted in....er....7 lots of yarn for socks. That should stop me feretting about for my last ball of wall for a bit Wink

Was it the pattern or the yarn that made them stretchy?

It's the pattern that makes them stretchy I believe. I have several pairs of Opal Socks but these ones keep their shape. The pattern looks a lot like rib and the socks look very skinny 'off the foot' - so to speak Smile but they keep their shape whereas my other socks are great in my Timberland Boots but are more like slouch socks after a while.
