Hope you had a good day, and found just what you were looking for.

I bought the magazine today, going to look though my stash before buying - I'm supposed to be making in roads into it, but it is so long since I have done any dress making, I can't remember what's in there - it'll probably all be out of date designs though  Rolling Eyes

I found some lovely fabric, actually patchwork fabric but quite a vintage design which suits the style of dress. It was only £4.30/m which is hugely bargainous! I bought more than was recommended cos it's narrower than the width recommended in the pattern, luckily the shop lady knew what she was on about cos I hadn't a clue and mother had gone to sit down and look at the pattern books cos her back was bothering her!

I've cut out the pattern pieces from the tissue paper - I cut right round the outside edges but will trim them to the correct size tomorrow. I've persuaded Mum to measure me, not something either of us are looking forward to as we both have vivd memories of me being measured for clothes as a child. I was a terrible wriggler and I probably havent' changed much  Laughing

Cross your fingers for me, lol.

Oh, and I didn't see somewhere called The Ice Cream Bar, but then again I wasn't really looking  Laughing

I'm glad you got some material Anna, can't wait to see the progress pics.

The last time I was in the Ice Cream Bar was probably 1979 so could well have moved on or just died from old age!!!
