|
|
This chevron lace cardie CAL has really piqued my interest in crocheting and I've been looking online for patterns this week when I've had the chance. However, they seem a bit few and far between to say the least!
Can anyone suggest some up-to-date crochet patterns that are cardies or jackets? We went to JL this afternoon for a squizz at their sale and I looked at the crochet books there but I really don't want cushion covers and doilies
There's a very lovely looking jacke on the Drops website though worked in Karisma DK. I'd really like a bash at that!

I don't think you can beat Drops for crochet. Perhaps Petrakot will come up with some good ones when she's next online. _________________

You can search on Rav for only crochet Debs if you go into the pattern tab then 'personalise' - haven't tried it so not sure how it works. _________________ Ali xxx |

I've looked on Rav, that's how I found the Drops cardie but I thought someone might be able to suggest a couple of good UK based crochet booklets, y'know like the knitting pattern booklets that Sirdar and Patons publish? _________________ Melody's blog

I've just got amazing crochet lace by doris chan, theres a few patterns in there I fancy making, but the patterns in the book dont look as inspiring as some of the projects made by ravellers. I'm planning on making Sambuca soon with yarn I got at woolfest.
Sirdar and patons do some crochet patterns and booklets too, |

There have been some nice cardie patterns in Interweave crochet
- the one on the front cover of the current issue caught my eye
There are also a couple of cardies on my wish list from The Happy Hooker
Just watch out - both of these are US terminology!

Debs if you go Diannes and click 'crochet' in the side bar, there's links to sirdar booklets for crochet.
This one pattern from there, i'm sure there's more just haven't looked through them all hth _________________

Oh wow! Thanks - just what I wanted!!
I have seen the Doris Chan book Nevis and everything on Rav looks fantastic. It's definitely one for my wishlist, thank you!
Harrysmum I'd also seen the Interweave crochet mags on the GK website when I was browsing for crochet hooks so that's definitely on my wishlist too!
Thanks KLB- I didn't know you could search specifically for crochet patterns at Diannes and that cardie looks like the type of thing I'm after at the moment. I'll go and investigate!
I'm just off browsing for sewing patterns as well so I've been 'researching' all morning so far! _________________ Melody's blog
