I've got Kaffe's Classics as well - got them both cheap on ebay - and also a couple of Sasha Kagan ones - one has incredible big 80s hair Laughing  Laughing

It would have made a fantastic cushion cover wouldn't it but you're right nobody did that then Confused

I had a subscription but have cancelled it now. Took it out mainly to get the free Mili bag. Laughing The thing that annoys me about the knitter is the thick pages and the number of old designs, ie book extracts and yarn company patterns. They seem to have more of those than other mags, athough Knitting had a lot of yarn company patterns in the current issue. I think one or two old patterns or book extracts max per issue is fine but any more than that I don't like. Also get the impression it's all th designers in Knitter is either current Rowan or ex Rowan designers.

I don't have a sub any more either, they seem to have messed it up after supposedly redoing it for the bag offer. After some thought I didn't bother re-subbing. There's very little in there apart from patterns and overall, it hasn't blown my socks off pattern-wise. I did just buy the current issue, the cover top isn't bad, but it seems to be a victory of style over substance. And the thick paper is actually quite disconcerting, I always think I've turned 2 pages  Laughing

I think it's lovely to look through and I enjoy getting it Razz . I now only subscribe to this, Knitting and have just started SK again on a very cheap 3 for a £1 offer. I'm wondering about subsribing to YF but am not going to renew to Interweave and will just buy as and when there's something I like as I've been disappointed with that the last year Confused

I realise now that I get knitting mags more for just looking through like any other women's mag (I don't actually buy any others these days as it happens) so just to see what's going on in the knitting world and to get a bit of inspiration patternwise though I rarely knit from them. But I love getting them!! Razz

I am a bit like that, addicted to magazines too. I have SK on subscription and recently took the 40% offer on Knit Today. I like to know what's going on ie craft events, days out. If I like a pattern I stick a post it on the page with the end stuck and write what it is. I rarely go back and use patterns though, I tend to use Ravelry. I am now getting a bit of a pile up and thinking I should clear some out but if I see one in Smiths I buy it anyway  Embarassed

I'm like pictish, I like getting the magazines just to look thorugh - kind of like knitting pr0n!!!! I subscribe to The Knitter and Interweave although I'm not going to resub Interweave because it seems to have gone off the boil, I'll just buy as and when. I also seem to be buying YF every issue so I'm wondering about subscribing to that as well. The other mags I don't buy so often, only when I *really* need a knitting mag and it's a long way between subs, lol!!!

I subbed to The Knitter when it first came out and quite liked the first few issues, but in all seven so far, there has been nothing that I'm remotely interested in knitting, so I think I'm going to cancel. It's a shame.  I was really hoping for a British version of IK.  At least we have YF.
