You took the words right out of my mouth fingers!
I have a couple of balls of red and white stripey Regia that i am thinking of making these socks in, just because i think the target will look brilliant! _________________

Well how terribly nosy of you all
OK, I need to finish a pair of socks for Mr FC by the end of this week. I've nearly finished the first one but all of the second one still to do. And I was hoping to get my Louisa sweater finished for the week after next, but I've got half of the back and both the sleeves to do as well as the sewing up. But I've only got the rest of this week really for that too, because next week is very busy for me and I'm away with work stuff for some of it and away for all of the week after as well.
So, I need to do most of a pair of mansocks and most of a sweater in 4 evenings max. Ain't gonna happen is it So, what with travelling and work and so on realistically I can't start the Target socks until the middle of May. By which time I may well have bought some yarn specifically to make them .....
Ooh Franney, that sounds interesting. The targets will look great I think, and the main part of the sock will be stripey. I was thinking too that the way they're constructed means that you could use a completely different yarn for the targets anyhow, or even different yarns for each target. _________________

I feel better now!!!
I think you're right - too much pressure to get all that done in that time Can't wait to see the Louisa jumper as it's in my queue as well _________________ Ali xxx |

Blimey FC, as much faith as i have in your knitting abilities i think an almost pair of socks and an almost jumper is too much for 4 evenings!!
I'm presuming that when you're travelling you're driving and won't be able to knit the socks while you're zipping about? Of course, it's silly of me to say that out loud isn't it, you're a knitter, of course you've thought of that!!
I apologise for my stupidity, it gets the better of me sometimes! _________________

You're not thinking of buying more yarn FC, surely??
As for knitting the targets in another colour, i was thinking the same thing! Just think of the possibilites of using up all those leftovers without the need to knit a blankie _________________

I travel on public transport - trains, ferries etc - so I can (and do) usually work on socks then. But there's no guarantee that I'll have room to knit on a train, they can be quite packed sometimes, so I'd rather get them done and dusted so I know that they're ready. So I'll do them first and then re-evaluate the situation
I know I can't do it all I'm not wildly optimistic or completely deluded though - I actually hadn't realised quite how little time I had until I wrote it down here
Oh yes, leftovers! They'd be perfect for these socks wouldn't they Although new yarn is always an option ..... _________________

A better solution would be to teach Mr.FC how to knit his own socks
Speaking of new sock wool.... i has squishy parcel
