That old Spandau Ballet track is totally lodged in my brain, can't shift it.  And it's entirely down to the tv trailers for the new series of Ashes to Ashes, which I'm totally not into   Evil or Very Mad  Laughing  Brings back memories though, I was a total Spandau fan, as opposed to Duran Duran,  either of the Kemp brothers in their youth would have been very nice, thank you!   Very Happy

anyone else suffering New Romantic nostalgia?   Cool

oooh no - I hated the 80's music!! - I was still into Led Zep and anything else generally loud!   I just didn't get it at all Embarassed - Mind you my taste in music has always been out of kilter, I think I was actually born about 50 years too late for the most part!

Very much so - saw Ultravox live last week, and have now arranged to go to the Camden Roundhouse gig late next week  Razz That one is being filmed for a tour DVD plus the main area is standing, so we get to go crazy  Laughing Ultravox were by far my favourite band in the 80s, I liked Duran and Spandau but UV just blew me away.

oh yeah, Ultravox!  I used to have a poster of Midge Ure, looking moody and dreamy and generally gorgeous.  The accent helped too  Laughing  I didn't really get into popular music until the 80s so it's very much my era  Very Happy

Isn't it funny how Wham weren't seen to be cool at the time, at least not by the New Romantics, but really are now?  I'll happily sing along!

Oh no, what have I done? Shouldn't have mentioned it.  I'm so going to be singing Wham Rap all day now  Rolling Eyes  Laughing

When Robert was little he always used to sing "wake me up a coca cola" which I am afraid to say is what we still sing too Embarassed

I LOVED Frankie Goes to Hollywood - the carnage nix of Two Tribes would be one of my Desert Island Discs for sure. Have you heard Frankie's version of Born to Run?

I went to see them when I was some 8 1/2 months pregnant with DD - a fabulous night out.
