I know Am thinking what I might use for it . You knit in one piece to armholes then do the sleeves then join altogether for the yoke I like the sound of it - apart maybe from the 6" of ribbing but once that's over it should be ok

I'm thinking of making a Mr Greenjeans in some NL aran in the Cobalt colour (sort of denim blue with lemon flecks - very yummy).
Anybody knitting anything top down atm?? _________________ Ali xxx |

Not at mo - put off by all those long rows at the bottom - but having said that I am contemplating doing a bottom up all in one! _________________ Cazzie |

Have just cast on for Mr G!!! I must say this New Lanark aran - the Donegal Silk - is gorgeous to knit with
I don't think I'd like to knit top downs all the time but I do find them quite exciting in a funny sort of way (I know, I need to get out more ) And I'm looking forward to the ribbing on this one on this as there are cables!!!! _________________ Ali xxx |

I really must give top down a go Love Mr GreenJeans and also Simply Red (is that the right name?)
I've cast on for a summer top in Sirdar Calico and have also ordered a needle so I can cast on a cardi with some Garnstudio Safran.
Also want to give the New Lanark yarn a try - still havent got any _________________ Cazzie |

'Something Red' That's a good first one as it is well written tho I think Mr G is too!!
The NL is lovely I just got some yesterday - this aran and some of the DK in the Ochre colour. The Donegal Silk is the softest I think. The aran is very good value @ £2.95/100g so my cardi is only costing about £14.70
I love Sirdar Calico - it knits up beautifully!!! _________________ Ali xxx |

Mr Greenjeans has been frogged Just looking closely at the pattern for my size and doing the sums it's just the wrong shape for me - going out where I go in and vice versa
I might try a topdown v-neck cardi using Sweater Wiz. _________________ Ali xxx |
