Hi everyone.
I am Jacquie. My favourite craft is knitting, but I also enjoy quilting. When I say quilting, I enjoy making the quilt top - the piecing or applique part - but not the actual putting together of the quilt and the actua quilting part so much.
I am looking forward to running this board with Debs (Melody Yarns). I know we are going to make lots of new friends and have some fun times here

Hi Jacquie! So happy to hear you will be running the forum with Debbie.
I'm so glad you and the forum are back! It will be a lot of fun to share all types of crafts with everyone.
Hi, my name is Susan and I, too, am a Craft-aholic. I love knitting, crochet, jewelry making, beading, and cross stitch. I'm fairly new to knitting. My grandmother taught me when I was 12, but I found it too difficult and didn't stick with it. I always vowed that I would learn how again and about three years ago I came across an easy free pattern for a scarf at Michaels that was done on big knitting needles. I gave it a try again and now I'm completely hooked. I love it! I've always been a crocheter for as long as I can remember. My grandma's friend taught me when she was out here from New York when I was probably 11 or 12. I crochet afghans and have done them for family and friends' baby gifts. I love making them. They're not portable though. That's what I LOVE about knitting too ~ it's portable.
I hope to chat, share, and make new friends here. Welcome fellow Craft-aholics!!! _________________ "Creativity is not the finding of a thing, but the making something out of it after it is found." |
