hi cj here is a quilt i made for a friend while i lived in america. we did a joint project where each month we sent each other an inspirational idea and we made a twelve inch square to represent what that idea meant to us. we did one block a month for twelve months and then made them into quilts. that was the idea any way but unfortunately for me my friend got pregnant in the second month and she lost the will to sew ....so inever got my quilt from her ...not even a cushion cover
i have forgiven her especially as she had a beautiful little boy who was the inspiration for square eleven however i was rather alarmed that this is on her older daughter's bed and she was sick all over it and it had to go through the washing machine!!!!!!! it wasn't really designed with puke and washing in mind

If anyone is really into quilting, and can get to Bath, the American Museum there has a vast number of quilts, some quite old. They are really beautiful. Well worth a visit
That quilt is lovely Susanc. I think I would be alarmed if all my hard work ended up being sicked over Lovely idea about how the quilt came about though. I think some people do a similar thing with cross stitch, and call it a round robin, at least I think that's what they call it?
We had a friend's daughter come visit from the States. On her first visit over here, she got everyone she visited to write their name on a piece of cloth. When she got home, she embroidered over the names, and added pictures of England and made a quilt. It's lovely, and a lovely way to remember her first visit here |

The quilt is lovely carolinne!!!
It must have taken you hours to make it! the idea of giving eash other inspiration and then swapping quilts at the end is great too, makes it a very special gift I imagine _________________ Terri xx |

your quilt looks lovely Carolinne.
Here's a couple of photos of the ones my relative made. Please excuse the small girl in stripy tights, I couldn't manage to keep her out the way.
